    APLA-G/M Antibody IgG/IgM Test

    Anti Phospholipid Antibody IgG/IgM Test

The APLA-G/M Antibody IgG/IgM Test is a diagnostic blood test used to detect the presence of anti-phospholipid antibodies, specifically Immunoglobulin G (IgG) and Immunoglobulin M (IgM). Elevated levels of these antibodies are associated with autoimmune disorders, particularly antiphospholipid syndrome (APS).

    • The test is crucial for the diagnosis and monitoring of autoimmune disorders, particularly antiphospholipid syndrome.
    • Elevated levels of APLA-G/M antibodies may indicate active autoimmune disease, and the results are often considered along with other clinical and laboratory findings.
    • Results should be interpreted by a rheumatologist or healthcare provider in the context of the patient's symptoms and medical history.

    Test Parameters

    1 - APLA-G Antibodies (IgG)

The test measures the concentration of IgG antibodies against phospholipids, providing insights into autoimmune activity, especially in relation to antiphospholipid syndrome.

    2 - APLA-M Antibodies (IgM)

The test measures the concentration of IgM antibodies against phospholipids, further aiding in the diagnosis of autoimmune disorders.

    Sample Collection

Blood samples are collected from the patient through standard venipuncture procedures.

    Collection Method : Blood Collection

Turn Around Time : Results are typically available within a few days after the blood sample is collected.
